Abstract
This article explains the social and political movement of Darul Abror NW Islamic Boarding School in Gunung Rajak, Sakra Barat District, East Lombok, in disseminating political propaganda to students and the Montong Beter village community through preaching. The relationship between the Islamic boarding school, its students, and the community is an intriguing topic for study. The dynamics of the social and political movement of the Islamic boarding school serve as the background for this research. The topics to be discussed in this article include the history of Darul Abror NW Islamic Boarding School in Gunung Rajak, the influence of the Islamic boarding school on the surrounding community, and the social and political movement of Darul Abror NW Islamic Boarding School in disseminating political propaganda to students and the community through preaching. Considering the research object and the desired orientation, this research is field research that is exploratory in nature, aiming to explore deeper information from direct observations in the field regarding the situation and conditions on the ground. The research methodology used in this study is qualitative data as the basis for study and analysis. Qualitative descriptive research aims to describe or depict, or paint and explain, and answer in detail the problems to be studied by studying as many individuals as possible from a group or incident. Thus, it has helped create a unique perspective for addressing the selected topic by thinking and analyzing across the traditional boundaries that define established academic disciplines.
